Street noise is a major annoyance!!! The absence of air conditioning in many rooms is quite uncomfortable during summer heat!!! The small size of both the bathrooms and the elevator could use some serious upgrading!!!

the hotel is just a short walk away from the bustling city center and close to lovely parks, making it perfect for a weekend stroll to see landmarks like the New Town Hall and St Peter's Church, and I really appreciated how friendly the staff were during my stay, always ready to help out with suggestions for local eateries.

The Alpen Hotel Muenchen impresses with its location, a mere 5-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof, making it exceptionally accessible. Rooms are clean, modern, and offer a cozy ambiance. The breakfast buffet stands out with its copious selection of organic dishes, including fresh fruit, pastries, and hot options, making every morning delightful.

Delightful breakfast but noisy nights

The breakfast spread was impressive, featuring a variety of organic options and fresh pastries. The staff was exceptionally friendly, always eager to assist with a smile.

Unfortunately, the noise from the street made it challenging to get a good night's sleep, especially with the absence of air conditioning. It felt uncomfortable during the warm summer nights.

The Comfort Single Room was stylish and renovated, with a very comfortable bed. Enjoyed the breakfast with fresh fruit offerings and varied choices, making it a delightful start to the day. However, the lack of air conditioning in my room was a significant drawback during the summer heat, forcing me to rely on the window for ventilation. The WiFi was often unreliable and disconnected frequently. Despite the friendly reception staff, the overall experience didn’t match the expected standards for a 4-star rating.

My stay at Alpen Hotel Muenchen was enjoyable due to its prime location near the train station and the old city, making commuting effortless. The single room I stayed in was well-renovated, stylish, and featured a comfortable bed. Breakfast was superb with a great selection of hot and cold options, which I relished in the outdoor garden. The reception staff provided excellent service, and the overall ambiance was delightful for my work trip.

The location is super handy for sightseeing, and the rooms are clean with nice decor. Plus, the restaurant offers a varied menu that's really tasty. I'd totally recommend this place to friends.

However, there was a small annoyance with the check-in process. the receptionist seemed a bit rude, which put a damper on things initially.

This was just an excellent fit for spending a night in Munich with extraordinarily good value for money. The breakfast spread offered a surprising variety and was definitely a highlight. Consider checking in later if you have heavy luggage to avoid the initial chaos at the front desk.
